Ovarian Cancer Survivor
Arti is also an ovarian cancer survivor and has experienced the devastation of breast cancer metastasis when her maternal aunt was diagnosed with the disease. She is therefore acutely aware of the progress, challenges and the potential for research in resolving this major health issue.
Arti met CJ in 2008 at the Joint Metastasis Research Society-AACR Conference held in Vancouver BC and since then has volunteered for METAvivor events and proceedings. As METAvivor's new Director of Research, she is now directly involved in METAvivor's research endeavors.
