2010 METAvivor Research Grant Funded Discovery!

welch KISS1 Research Results:

METAvivor's first research grant supported research which shows that KISS1 prevents seeded cancer cells from growing into full blown metastases.

The research also determined that KISS1 may be altering how the immune system controls a tumor. Follow-on research is now being done that will set the groundwork for the development of drugs that mimic KISS1 activity...
