METAVIVOR COMPETES IN THE PINK WELL CHALLENGE,
To Increase Funding for Metastatic (STAGE IV)
Breast Cancer Research
METAvivor is one of 30 finalists in a competition to receive up to $145,000 in the Pink Well Challenge, a $1 million matching grants challenge hosted by Texas philanthropist and oil tycoon Lester Smith. METAvivor will allocate ONE HUNDRED PERCENT of all Pink Well funds raised to critically-needed research to transition metastatic breast cancer to a non-fatal disease. Presently this area of research is funded at only two percent.
THE CHALLENGE:
Between January 16 and May 15 2012, METAvivor must raise more money than its competitors and receive the most votes for its 4-minute video in order to win the full prize amount.
