UVA Cancer Center researchers have identified a gene responsible for the spread of triple-negative breast cancer to other parts of the body – a process called metastasis – and developed a potential way to stop it.

Sanchita Bhatnagar, PhD, a recepient of the 2019 METAvivor Translational Research Award, is a part of that team and was recently published in the November 2020 issue of the American Association for Cancer Research Journal.
