I have spent most of my 25-year career in non-profit management working alongside volunteers. It has been rewarding and I have met some incredibly talented people who have taught me a great deal about “service above self”.

This week we meet Valencia Robinson, an early stage breast cancer patient and English teacher who has become a great friend to METAvivor. Valencia lives in Daytona Beach, Florida and is often seen at conferences and retreats supporting metastatic patients.

Today’s blog comes from the Vice President of Metavivor and Director of Finances. Patrick Quinn is the husband of Lisa Cooper Quinn, a stage IV metastatic patient with the BRACA mutation. Together with Kelli Davis they head up the largest national fund raiser for metastatic breast cancer, the North West Arkansas Metsquerade.
