June 2025 Letter from METAvivor’s President

METAvivor President and Director of Research

There is so much work going on behind the scenes at METAvivor. I’ve been putting on my “used to be a PTA mom” hat to approach potential sponsors to secure funding for our programs like peer-to-peer support groups and the Stage IV Stampede.

And speaking of the Stampede, we’ll be in person in DC October 6th & 7th, but with a new educational and research update component that I’m very excited about! Not only will attendees learn about the legislative priorities in preparation for meeting  with our elected representatives on October 7th, they’ll also have a “MBC 101” session to make sure they are armed with the facts about our disease and a “how to tell your story” training session. We also hope to bring some of our researchers in to give updates on the work METAvivor has funded – and if we get sufficient funding we hope to stream these sessions so even if you can’t be there in person you can benefit from the trainings and updates.
